Our Story
Founded in 1983 by Bob and Idelle Weinstein, Bob's Metals began as a small scrap operation in North Portland. Through decades of hard work, honest dealing, and commitment to customer service, the company has grown into one of the Pacific Northwest's premier metal recycling facilities.
Today, under the leadership of second-generation owners Mike and David Weinstein, Bob's Metals operates a 14-acre zero-discharge facility capable of processing over 50,000 tons of metal annually. We serve everyone from individual homeowners to Fortune 500 manufacturers.
